29.10.2006 The final round of the japanese F3 Championship was held up in Motegi. This is one of Adrians favourite racetracks. After his win in the 6th round in of the Japanese Championship in may, Adrian was keen on winning the last both races too. In the free practice sessions everything worked fine. He could find a nearly perfect setup for Qualifying and Race and Adrian was confident for the weekend. In the Qualifying Adrian could show his performance. He went straight on first position. In the last lap of the first Qualifying session he was held up and lost his pole for a few hundredths. However the second qualifying was perfect. Adrian could do an amazing lap and set a new lap record at Motegi. He was on pole for Sundays race. In the first Race Adrian started from 2nd place. After he drove in his grid position and set everything to start the race he couldn’t start due to a electronic problems. He had to give up after few meters. Now it was important to forget this result and concentrate to the last race. Adrian started from pole. After a great start he could defend his position for the first corners. Then he pulled away quite easily by driving one fastest lap after the other. In the last lap Adrian had a gap of 13 seconds two the 2nd Marko Asmer. Adrian won the last race and secured the also the Championship title in 2006. After a great seasion with a great car Adrian is looking forward to Macau GP in November. This will be his final F3 race.
