13.09.2006 The race weekend at Fuji Speedway was the homerace for Toms Toyota. The goal was to win both races. At the free practice everything was going well for Adrian. Allthough the track was on a low grip level, Adrian could find a reasonable balance and set the fastest time of the day. The Qualifying session was held in dry condition. In the first 15 minutes Adrian had big problems with the car. He was fighting with his balance and couldn’t go for pole position. The end result was a disappointing 5th place for Saturdays race. After a few changes Adrian started for the 2nd Qualifying session. The car was a bit better but still far away of good car balance. Finally he missed the pole position by a few tenth. He finished 2nd for Sundays race. Saturday afternoon Adrian started from 5th position. After a good start, Adrian could overtake a few cars and being 3rd for the second corner. After a few laps Adrian could close the gap to Marko Asmer. He tried everything to pass him but couldn’t find a way. After 10th lap Adrian did a small mistake and he had to defend his position to Kodai Tsukakoshi. After a good fight in the last few corners, Tsukakoshi touched Adrians car and he had to retire from the race. The first zero points in this saison. For the 2nd race, Adrian started at the first row. After a very good start he could take over the lead after 100 Meter being on 1st postion for the first corner. Then Adrian could pull away bit for bit. In the wet condition Adrian could show his best, doing no mistake until the end and celebrate his 5th F3 Race win this year.
