20.06.2006  After his win in Motegi, Adrian had his next round of the All Japan F3 Championship in TI International Cirquit at Okayama. This time all the drivers had the chance to setup the car on thursday on an extra testday. In the morning session it was raining quite strong and it was hard to stay on the track. The afternoon session was canceled dut to heavy rain. Adrian finished this day with his time of the morning session on P2.
On the two one hours tests on friday, Adrian could show that he want to win this weekend. He set the pace in both free practice and was the favourite for saturdays qualifying.
The Qualifying was in dry conditions. In the 15 minutes practice Adrian could go straight up on pole. In the last minutes japaneses Koudai Tsukakoshi toped his time. Adrian Sutil had one more shot. In the last corner he did a little mistake and missed the pole by only 5 hundreths. So he finished on position 2.
In the 2nd qualifying Adrian was able to catch the pole. He was pushing the whole practice and was clear fastest in the end.
On Saturdays race, Adrian started from second position. It was raining and everybody was on rain tyres. Adrian did a great start and took over the lead to the first corner. After first lap he pulled away already by 3 seconds. After one best lap after the next, Adrian could win the race by unbelievable 32 seconds gap to the 2nd placed. This race showed again his potencial and his aim to win the championship.
On Sundays race it was dry and perfect conditions. Adrian started from pole. After a good start he could stay on the first place for the first corner. In the first lap he already had a gap of more than 1 second. He was pushing the whole race did the fastest lap and finally won the race by 6 seconds to Marko Asmer (Threebond).
The first double win in this season for the young Midland F1 Testdriver. Now he is leading the Championship with 50 points. The next Race will take part at Suzuka on the 8th-9th July.
