11.05.2006 After the succesfull first friday testing at Nürburgring, Adrian had to leave Germany straight after the race for Motegi. On wendesday and thursday Adrian had two official Testdays for the coming race end of this month.
A little bit jetlaged Adrian started testing on wednesday morning on a wet track. It was the first time he drove on this quite difficult cirquit. Anyway he did a good job, beeing the whole morning under first 3 position. In the end he only had 6 hundreths gap to the first place Roberto Streit (Inging/Toyota).
In the afternoon the track was dry and Adrian could learn the cirquit also in dry conditions. After half an hour Adrian he was on P1 and could hold this position until the last few minutes. Then he was beaten by three drivers who went out wiht new tyres.
Adrian after first day testing: " We had a few problems in the dry with the balance of the car. For tomorrow we need to fix that.
Also the second day morning session was in wet conditions. The track was drying up unconsistently. It was very difficult to find the right balance. Adrian had a few problems with that and couldnt go better than a 5th place.
In the afternoon it was completely dry. Adrian was straight up fastest of the field. With the new tyres the car was quite good. Adrian set a very good time but in the last few minutes Hondas Kodai Tsukakoshi topped his time. So the young german driver finished the day on position 2.
It was a very good testing. Adrian knows the track in all conditions now and he is well prepared for the race end of this month.
