02.04.2006 The first round of the All Japan F3 Championship was hold at Fuji Speedway. This is the Hometrack of Toms and the goal was clear to win the race!
The free practice day for Adrian ended at the top of the timesheets. The car was nearly perfect and Adrian looked forward to tomorrows qualifying and race.
Although the qualifying wasnt like Adrian expected. He was helded up twice on his flying lap and so he missed two times pole position. Even though his starting position wasnt bad. A 2nd and 3rd place for the races.
In the first race Adrian showed his best side. After a great start he took over the lead after 100 Meter and entered turn 1 on the first position. He was pulling away emediately. Every lap he could gain a few tenth and in the end he won the race with over 5 seconds gap. Adrian was very happy about his first race win.
The second race was held up in really bad conditions. It was raining a lot and the track was full of water. Adrian had to start from 2nd position. The race director decided to start behind Safety Car. After the green flag Adrian could defend his position and enter as 2nd in into first corner. After 3 Laps following P1 Roberto Streit suddenly crashed in Adrians rear and damaged his rear wing. Even though Adrian could handle it to drive the broken car into the finish on 4th position. He safed some important points for the Championship.
